Ever since I've decided to study makeup and use social media Karla Powell has been a big inspiration to me. I absolutely love her work and the success she has achieved in a short space of time is amazing

I first discovered her when i decided i wanted to research lip art on my previous course. She is a complete inspiration to me. I follow her on social media such as Facebook, snapchat and Instagram. She updates these on a regular basis with posts. Her creativity inspires me and has encouraged me to try look which I would normally feel out of my depth doing. She is colorful, imaginative and creative and creates complete transformations/ characters without using special effects

Karla Powell is an Award Winning International, Fashion, Portrait, Beauty Make-up Artist. She has worked in London, Europe and even the USA.

Her love for makeup started at the age of 6 her dad was a face painter. Even from this young age she was fascinated on how paint could change a face. Karla decided to train as a beautician at 18. She then went on a studied beauty, fashion, media and theater make-up straight. which eventually lead to teaching make-up & hair at a local college for three years and continues to share her professional knowledge. She has six years experience in the industry this includes working with celebrities such as Pixie Lott, she has been involved in New York and London fashion week creating looks and has directed campaigns for well known beauty brands

Karla has many different styles and talents. She is a versatile makeup artist she has been involved in commercials, Film and TV work to more avant garde work within the theater and body painting events.

Karla is continuously inspiring people in her freelance role this varies from teaching aspiring make-up artists at an award winning School of Make-up located Manchester. Also through social media lovers through her blog, social media, Karla Cosmetics workshops and MUA Cosmetics blog.
