Task 1 Chanel SS15/16 Paris fashion week

This was a collection was very different to most seen on the catwalk of Paris fashion week SS15 the show was a street protest about female empowerment, and the incredible strength and influence women have when they join forces and work together. The show had a political yet stylish message.

To begin the show there were masculine style tweed suits paired with brightly coloured ties or blouses. As the show continued more colour and print appeared there were lot of bright shades of pink, red, orange and purple were blended together in an abstract watercolor print this was seen on everything from flat boots and skirts to shirts and coats. The next look to follow were a more androgynous feel inspired from the uniforms of women who worked in the factories from the era these were in suede khaki.

The prints and colours were almost psychedelic, with paint-splatter coats, rainbow tweeds and pastel tie-dye bags, worn with peacock-toned eyeshadow and flat gold shoes. There was a masculine reference to the collection. This was a modern twist on the industrial working theme. It was an interesting original look. Flared trousers, micro minis, box-pleated skirts worked extremely well with artistic floral prints.

Tom Pecheux was chanel's chief makeup artist. This year he listened to the models and emphasized the beauty of each individual models face from Gisele to Kendall Jenner. Some can be seen with a Smokey eyes teamed with a nude lip while others has rainbow eyelids with pretty pink pouts.

The hair also went along the same kind of lines as the makeup. Hairdresser Sam McKnight tried to make each model have their own unique look, whilst also trying to keep it natural. Each models hair is different so he utilizes this he used Phyto 7 Hydrating Day Cream to smooth and moisturise dry ends on some of the models on others he used Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray on others for catwalk-worthy volume. Some models had no hair needs and were kept natural.

I love how unique and individual this collect is. It's something which has never really been done before. I am inspired on how each model is treated as an individual normally they want all the models to have the same look. It is inspiring that they are encouraging people to be unique and to embrace their natural differences. Be individual and try not to copy other people embrace and enhance your own natural beauty in a way that works well for you
