Task 1 Makeup Artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis

Lan has become a well know established name within the fashion and beauty industry. She was born in Ireland from a Vietnamese heritage. Lan is incredibly self taught in makeup she has an art background and studied fashion before her makeup career. She pursued her career to heading and designing key shows and is a name at London Fashion Week. she has had various job roles including Advertising, PR & TV, celebrities, shows and events, editorial and has worked alongside many photographers. Lan is currently beauty editor of Phoenix magazine published during LFW . Lan is also is a published author worldwide and a regular speaker and teacher. She is a woman of many skills and amazing talents.

I was introduced to Lan by my previous Lecture who I believe has assisted her before at London fashion week and recommended her teaching academy. After looking at her work I could see the raw talent. Her work is creative and inspiration and takes the idea of make up to the next level experimenting with different designs textures and looks. The makeups she creates are colourful and unique I love the fact she is self taught and shows through hard work and determination your dreams and aspirations can be achieved this is admirable. She pushes all the boundrys of makeup and create art which is beautiful and unforgetable. I want to try and experiment with some of her styles of work as this is out of my comfort zone
