IDEAS FIRST IDEAS FOR A MAGAZINE COVER

After reseaching both Vogue and Love Magazine. I have decided to recreate a Love Magazine cover. I feel it is more young interesting and fresh. As a Magazine out of all High Fashion Love appeals to me the most

This is the most recent editon of Love Magazine which was available from the 8th Feburary 2016

I had two looks i was interested in recreating

The first look was Michael Costello SS16 this look has luminous skin and matt lips in a bubblegum pink

It was influenced by the 1970's

Michael Costello’s Spring 2016 collection. The Lead Makeup Stylist was Uzo NARS International she created a bold and daring lip for the designer’s NYFW show. Instead of using the classic red pouts which were massively popular in the era. she brought the look to the modernd day with a matte and icy-pink lip. The skin was given a soft but illuminated feel.

and the second look Tommy Hifigure SS16

I decided to go for the fresh golden glow skin with lots of golden shimmer and highligh as seen in the SS16 collection of Tommy Hilgure. My inspiration for this shoot is Selena Gomez in a Love Magazine shoot called Daisy Chain

Alberta Ferrertti SS16 also followed the golden lumiated skin

The look i am most interested in has Bold brows, radiant skin, shimmery neutral eyeshadows and softly contoured cheekbones which creates a naturally flawless. It is minimalist natural beauty

I also purchased a copy of Love Magazine this will give me more of an insite to the magazine. I have only ever seen the online version and a magazine feels very different when you look at it in print

After looking at a copy of Love Magazine the models have the same seductive pose throughout. The models can be found using a different facial expression but i haven't seen a cover with a smiling model.
