Love Magazine Editor in chief Katie Grand
Katie Grand was born in April 1971
Katie Grand grew up in Birmingham .She discovered fashion at the age of 12 and since then has gone on to amazing things that many people could only dream of achiveing
"I was really nerdy. and then, kind of overnight, I can clearly remember thinking, 'I just want to be cool.'
As a student she studied fashion and design at St Martins. In 1992 with her fellow students they lauched the magazine Dazed and confused. She worked as a fashion director and moved to Magazine The face in 2000. She then left and went on to launch the bi-annual fashion and art magazine POP in 2000. She left POP in 2008 to launch a new title, LOVE, with Conde Nast, with its first issue published in February 2009.
Katie Grand is the founding editor-in-chief of Love, a bi-annual publication.
She has been named by British newspaper The Daily Telegraph as
"one of the most powerful stylists in the world"
She is extremly well known as a stylist and creative consultant, and a key collaborator of designer Marc Jacobs. She has worked with the collection for the last 11 years. She is the ceative director of the womenswear, menswear and beauty campaigns for Marc Jacobs. She also styled her first Louis Vuitton campaign for the Spring/Summer 2003 season which was designed by Jacobs since then she has styled 17 womenswear shows and 4 mens.
She has also been lucky enough to have worked with a number of other major luxury well known brands these include names such Bottega Veneta, Prada , Armani, Dolce & Gabbana , Giles, Jimmy Choo , Jonathan Saunders and Sonia Rykiel. Katie Grand's sucess continues to grow
