Costume Design and Head piece: Amazon Women

Here is my final idea for my Costume design

I wanted to create a A line skirt with texture and movement in browns and gold's

If I'm honest this unit has been my biggest struggle. I have found designing a costume and head piece extremely difficult but I have tried to my best ability

Here are pictures of warrior women who I have used for inspiration

I have a few more amendments I need to make to the skirt before the final show. I am gold to me the skirt itself more gold and fancy and cover it in sequences to make more of a dramatic impact

For my head piece I wanted to use firm feathers to stand upright

I sprayed the ends gold

I created a plait with fake hair using a piece of study mesh type material. I them sew mesh on to this to allow the hair to grip. I used a needle a tread to secure the bulk then a glue gun to insure it was secure

I added the feather's into the plait I created by sticking them with a glue gun

This is a shield I have created using 1p's and 2p's sprayed silver and gold. I have created a symmetrical pattern again keeping the lines straight. I used to glue gun to adhere the coins

I thing my costume and headpiece fit in with my theme and I have honestly tried my best as I found it extremely hard as making things isn't something which comes easily to me

I am nervous about the show as I still don't feel like my work is good enough especially to be on a catwalk
