Final Major Project: Masquerade

Term 2 and 3

I can't believe we are in the final terms. This year has gone so quickly

Our final project incorporates mask/ head dress making which if I am really honest I am going to struggle with this. I do not feel confident with making decorative elaborate things

We had four themes to research

1. The Masquerade balls of Louis XIV (The sun king)

2. The day of the dead

3. Pagan festivals/mythology

4. Tribal

After researching all 4 themes I decided to base my design on Mythology. In particular Greek Mythology

My first idea was Pegasus.

Pegasus was a flying horse in Greek mythology, usually depicted as white coloured. He was involved in some of the most intriguing tales of the times and was the first mythological creature who came into my head

After trying it and researching how to make the costume I decided against this idea. I wanted to include a horn and due to the weight it is difficult to apply to the forehead

I did a make up trail for this look
